ReplyHow about the litter on King Street in Old Town. Butts and trash everywhere particularly in front of many restaurants and bars. Seems to me the owners should do a sweep in front of their establishments daily. I know people are still going to litter but I think with a little help from owners and perhaps the city furnishing some more receptacles for cigarettes, and doing some anti-litter signage maybe it would help. We also spend alot of time in Del Ray and don't see the same type of problem over there.

ReplyDoes anyone know why she wasn't arrested prior to February 14th for a crime that occured in November 2012? Seems to me that if they had enough evidence to arrest her 2/14 she could have been picked up earlier and perhaps Mr. Roehrs might still be alive. Not being critical...just asking if anyone might have an explanation.

Really? Sounds to me like if one of the underage drinkers that got their stuff at the giant went out and hurt someone people like you would be going....where were the police when all this was going down? They're not doing their jobs! Actually sounds like you have some experience relative to this issue.

ReplyI would have liked a moderate snowfall but based on the past inaccurate forecasts by the local weather guys/gals I really wasn't expecting much until the 11pm forecast from Channel 4 where they said 5-10 inches was almost a certainty in and around DC. Wrong again. Then they try to justify the accuracy of their forecast by telling us that Happy Creek WV and Massanuten got 15 inches. Just admit you blew it in the metro area and move on.

ReplyHope it happens but have little faith. As McBrinn said the hype is crazy. They do it every time and then spend the next two days hyping why it didn't happen. Again, would love to see a decent but non-paralyzing storm so I hope they get it right this time around.
