ReplyPolice are necessary because as a society we have decided what is acceptable behavior for living a pack-animal life, and there are people who can't live by those rules. My opinion is that police/law enforcement should be beyond reproach, and if you hurt them you should be removed from society forever. Whether that is life without parole or death is debateable. But it's time for us to stop questioning what police do or don't do; they are here because not all of us can control ourselves. I hope this officer survives without permanent damage and that the person who shot him/her is not sentenced by a bleeding-heart judge who sees any redeeming value in this action. Anyone else with me on this?

ReplyDon't get me wrong. I have lived around this area since 1980. The Waffle shop is a landmark of Arlandria. Saying it's part of Del Ray takes away from what it is. I personally don't think giving money to an owner who mispelled new awnings is the best use of money, but getting the neon signs working again is. I wish the old concrete shopping center with Arlandria proudly displayed had survived.

Great. Maybe when the neon signs are repaired we can all meet up for egs over esy and a side of tost.
