Traffic Alert: Telegraph Road Closed This Weekend

The Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project is closing Telegraph Road this weekend, weather permitting. Telegraph Road will be closed in both directions between Huntington Avenue and Duke Street on Saturday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 18, reports the Carlyle Community blog. It suggests that motorists heading north should take Huntington Avenue to U.S. Route 1 North to Duke Street. Detour signs will be posted for southbound motorists. This work is expected to cause significant backups and motorists are strongly encouraged to find alternate routes, including avoiding Duke Street East and West and Route 1 near Old Town.

@Perry - I think the length of time to completion has to do more with minimizing traffic impact in such a highly congested area. The project was funded some years ago. more ›
