Video: ROAMfest 12

Seven ROAM rock school bands hit the stage Sunday at the State Theatre in Falls Church.

Seven rock school bands from Rock of Ages Music in Del Ray received the chance to perform on the big stage at the State Theatre in Falls Church on Sunday evening for ROAMfest 12. Sunday’s lineup included ROAM rock school bands Fuse Box, The Outlet, All Things Null and Void, No Pressure, The Knights Who Say Ni, Spork and Neon Laces. Adult bands PARE and Noise in the Basement closed out the all-ages show. Show sponsors included Bobi Bomar’s Homes of Alexandria, Ramparts Tavern and St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub.  Enjoy the photos and videos of some of Sunday’s performances. ROAMfest 12 Set for Sunday

Seven ROAM rock school bands will take the stage Sunday at the State Theatre in Falls Church.

As John Patrick’s rock school students at Rock of Ages Music in Del Ray have become more confident with their instruments and skilled as performers, he says he has had to find new ways to challenge and reward them. ROAMfest 12, Sunday’s show at the State Theatre in Falls Church, is an extension of that sentiment. “Several of these groups have been with me for three years now,” he said. “Some of the groups are getting older and I want to keep the programs cool and fun. I have to step up my game and get a venue they really enjoy playing at.” The concert will feature seven kids bands and two adult bands with connections to Patrick’s business.
