Six T.C. Williams High School students got a hand-on educational experience Saturday with JAMtech™, presented by the Alexandria-based firm Carney, Inc. Associates from Carney, a federal contracting firm specializing in advanced solutions, are showing local high school students interested in technology—including online gaming, graphics, computer programming and social media—how to turn their passion into careers. Old Town Alexandria-based federal contracting firm Carney is hosting its sixth annual JAMtech at T.C. Williams High School Saturday in an effort to introduce students to technologies used in developing digital games and applications. JAMtech participants are eligible to apply for Carney’s internship program, which runs throughout the school and during the summer Carney programmers and digital artists will share their skill sets with more than 50 students from 17 high schools in the metro area.
