Holiday Volunteering: The Holiday Project

Bring some holiday cheer to the area's older residents.

The holiday season is here and that means Alexandria communities seek volunteers for many and different causes. The Alexandria Patches are highlighting good causes seeking volunteers during this holiday season. If you'd like to be included in this weekly feature, please email sharon.mcloone@patch.com. My husband, our 1 year old and 3 year old, my dad and stepmom and I all volunteered together with THP last Christmas for our family service project. We caroled at a local nursing home. It was SO REWARDING!!! - totally recommend for groups or individuals of all ages. There are even some visits you can do with your pet. :-)   more ›
