Dec. 16 is a dream for chocoholics

Thursday is Chocolate-Covered Anything Day and I can't think of a more perfect day to mark on the calendar. This could be a chocolate addict's favorite day. A day to pig out and indulge in a great temptation. And it couldn't come at a better time, right in the middle of the traditional holiday season.    There are many different types of chocolate that you can use to top your food: White chocolate, milk chocolate, semisweet, bittersweet and unsweetened. Pour or drizzle chocolate over baked goods such as cakes, pies, muffins and breakfast foods like pancakes. You can also try things like fruits (dried or regular) and nuts. Creating lasting family memories

Last year, my family started a new tradition for the day after Thanksgiving. No, we did not go Black Friday shopping at 3 a.m. (although I did consider it this year). Instead, we drove to Hershey, Pa., for some fun rides and a chocolate overload. Who better to partake in this adventure than our closest friends, the Soares family. We had so much fun last year that we decided to return for another sweet trip.  I am a card-carrying chocoholic and Hershey provides one of the best venues for a weekend bender, complete with a cherry on top. Did you know that the entire town smells like chocolate? Fantastic, I tell you. Imagine smelling rich, dark chocolate every day of the year.
