The Duncan Library spring book sale gets underway Wednesday night with a members-only preview. The sale opens to the public Thursday when the Alexandria library branch opens and runs through Saturday. Adult hardback books will be available for $3, while adult paperbacks and children’s hardcover titles will be on sale for $1. Children’s paperbacks will be available for 50 cents. Some media will also be available for purchase. All the money raised will be used to support operations at Duncan Library. Members of The Friends of Duncan Library will be able to take a crack at the inventory from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Membership will be available Wednesday evening for non-members looking to get involved and to get an early look at the sale. …

The Friends of Duncan Library is ready for its fall book sale, which begins Wednesday night with a first chance sale for members from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The sale then opens up to the public on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The sale continues Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All the money raised will be used to support operations at Duncan Library. The Friends of Duncan Library is also seeking new board members, including a vice president and e-communications specialist, a beautification-landscape chair, a literary programs chair, teen programs chair, social activities chair and a treasurer-in-training. Friends of Duncan Library raising funds
The Duncan Library Book Sale got underway Wednesday night with a members-only preview. The sale opens up to the public today and runs through Saturday. Books range from $5 to 50 cents. Children's hardcovers are just $1 apiece. All the money raised will be used to support operations at Duncan Library. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
