I've been eating at Als for 25 years. One of my most favorite Alexandria institutions.

I'm heading over to Al's Steak House this morning. Come by Al's to say "Hi!" sometime during the day and get an awesome Philly cheesesteak sandwich!

Jim, thanks for the 'shout out'. I definitely don't get over to Al's as much as I used to, or would like to, but I hope to drop by sometime soon! Please tell John at Al's that 'General Puma' says "Hello!" PS: Please let me post my own pics at Al's, okay? Thanks! ;-)

I love Al's Steak House! It's the best! I just took two pictures from Pat Malone's Facebook page where he has been promoting Al's for years, but I never see him there! Come on Pat, meet us at Al's!

Al's Steak House has been open since 1955, and still going strong in Del Ray because of the legendary mouth-watering delicious cheesesteaks that John Severson and crew serve up to people each day they're open for business. John cares about people, and it shows, as he has opened Al's on snow days to feed, for free, city employees who work to clear streets. I know this from talking to friends of mine who work that detail for the city, telling me that when other places around town were closed because of snow, John always has Al's Steak House up-and-running to serve cheesesteaks to as many street clearing crews that he can feed. I've been an Al's Steak House loyal 'regular' for a number of years now. Drop by Al's if you're up for an awesome cheesesteak sandwich. Please tell John that 'General Puma' sent you!

I don't go here often but it's not because it isn't good, in fact, it is too good! It has the best subs around, just not sure how many calories but if you want to cheat on your diet this place is worth it!!!
