ROAM Winter Rock School Kickoff Series Set for Saturday at the Old Town Theater

Rock of Ages Music Company is presenting its ROAM Winter Rock School Kickoff Series on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Old Town Theater.

The event features seven bands comprised of local kids between the ages of 9 and 16 playing classic and modern rock, including The Confusements, Tragic Mishaps, Cactus Hug, Spork, No Pressure, Whalitzer and All Things Null and Void.

Local band Elroy Jenkins—whose members are adults known to sometimes act like kids—is also scheduled to play the event.

Doors open for the show at 5 p.m. and the ROAM bands will perform from 7 p.m. to about 10 p.m., then Elroy Jenkins will take the stage. Food and beverage will be available for purchase between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

ROAM owner and instructor John Patrick told Patch last week he is in the process of preparing a professional recording studio in Del Ray.
