Antique Show, Chinquapin Reopens and Novemberfest

A glance at the weekend ahead in Alexandria:
Alexandria Antiques Show — The George Washington Masonic Memorial (101 Callahan Dr.) will host the annual Alexandria Antique Show all weekend long. The show will feature national and international antique dealers presenting an assortment of 18th and 19th century furniture, art, jewelry and much more. The show runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Chinquapin Reopens — Chinquapin Park Recreation Center, closed since June 17 for HVAC repairs, reopens at 6 a.m., Friday Nov. 1.

To celebrate the reopening, Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities will open the rec center for free admission from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. All ages are welcome.

Del Ray Artisans — The Del Ray Dozen Invitational Photography Show at Del Ray Artisans gallery (2704 Mount Vernon Ave.) opens Friday, Nov. 1 with a reception from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Subject matter ranges from landscapes to portraits and a little bit of everything in between.
“The 39 Steps” — Adapted from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1935 film of the same name, “The 39 Steps” runs through Nov. 16 at The Little Theatre of Alexandria (600 Wolfe St.). The play follows dashing Richard Hannay and his heroic efforts to solve the riddle of The 39 Steps while staying a step ahead of Nazi spies. This two-time Tony Award-winner features four actors playing more than 100 roles. Tickets are available for purchase online.
Novemberfest at Rustico — Just take a look at the beer list for this fall festival, which will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 in the parking lot behind Rustico at 827 Slaters Ln. Admission is $5 at the door and it includes a Novemberfest can koozie while supplies last.
Tickets will be needed to purchase beer and food. Tickets will be available for $1 apiece. Beers will range from six to eight tickets for full 14-oz. pours and three to four tickets for most 6-oz. tasters.
Food will range from three to eight tickets.
