YMCA Hosting Annual Activate Alexandria! 5K
Race is scheduled for Saturday morning at Cameron Run Regional Park.
The Alexandria branch of the YMCA is hosting its annual Activate Alexandria! 5K to Fight Childhood Obesity on Saturday at Cameron Run Regional Park.
The race kicks off at 8:30 a.m. and will start and finish at the park, located at 4001 Eisenhower Ave.
Participants can register for the race online for $30. Entrants will receive a commemorative T-shirt.

Registration is also available the day of the race beginning at 7:15 a.m. for a cost of $35. Participants ages 7 to 17 can register for $15 online or $20 in-person on the day of the race. There will also be a free 50-yard dash for kids 10 and under. Registration for that fun run is open only on race day.
In-person pre-registration will also be open on Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the YMCA on Monroe Avenue. Online registrants may pick up their race packets at the Y during this time.
