Virginia High School Football Playoffs: T.C. Williams Will Travel to South County

For the first time in 22 years, the T.C. Williams High School football team will take the field for a playoff game.

The Titans (7-3) will face Patriot District rival South County (8-2) in Lorton. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15.

The Titans wrapped up their historic postseason berth Saturday with a 24-14 home win over West Potomac.

Coach Dennis Randolph’s squad will seek to make amends for a 44-37 October loss to the Stallions at Parker-Gray Stadium.

“At playoff time, everyone is 0-0,” Randolph said Saturday after beating West Potomac. “We lost to [South County] in a close one. We sure can’t give up 44 points in a playoff game.”

The Stallions stadium is located at 8501 Silverbrook Rd, roughly a 25-minute, non-rush hour ride from T.C. Williams.

Five of the Titans’ regular-season opponents reached the playoffs this fall, including undefeated Centreville (10-0) and Lake Braddock (10-0).
