The T.C. Williams football team topped West Springfield 24-21 on the road Friday night, according to The Washington Post.

The win snapped a five-game losing skid for the Titans (2-5, 1-3 Patriot District) and marked the first victory in three games for interim head coach Avery Williams, who is filling in for Dennis Randolph for the remainder of the season while the coach recovers from an illness.

According to the Post report, the Titans ran the ball 47 times for 215 yards in the victory. Tailback Za’Quan Summers carried the ball 34 times for 163 yards. Fellow running back Dealo Robertson rushed nine times for 46 yards.

The loss dropped the Spartans to 4-3 on the season and 2-2 in the Patriot District.

For its next game, T.C. Williams travels to Annandale on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
