Titans Fall at Centreville, 44-16

T.C. Williams varsity football suffers first loss of 2013 season.

The T.C. Williams High School football team fell to 1-1 on the season Friday night with a 44-16 road loss to Centreville, according to The Washington Post.

The Wildcats (2-0) ran out to a 37-3 halftime lead behind several big plays from tailback AJ Turner, including an 84-yard scoring run a 92-yard kickoff return following a field goal by the Titans’ Zachary Eisenhour.

The Titans found the end zone twice in the fourth quarter after falling behind 44-3. Junior quarterback Darius Holland connected with Terry Jordan on 36-yard TD pass and Holland found the end zone a second time on 34-yard scamper before the game’s final whistle.

The Titans are off next weekend before opening their home schedule on Sept. 21 against Langley. Kickoff is at 3 p.m. at Parker-Gray Memorial Stadium.
