Ripken Takes in Aces Game

Baltimore Orioles legend and Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. visited on Saturday to watch his son, Ryan Ripken, play for the Youse's Orioles against the Alexandria Aces

Ryan Ripken was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI as the Orioles defeated the Aces 15-5.

Both teams play in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, a wooden bat summer league made up of amateur players from a variety of colleges and universities throughout the country. The league is regionally located in the Baltimore-Washington area. It is named after Cal Ripken Sr.

  • Friday vs. Vienna River Dogs at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday vs. Baltimore Redbirds at 5 p.m. (Doubleheader, second game at 7 p.m.)
  • Monday vs. Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts at 7 p.m.
  • July 24 vs. D.C. Grays at 7 p.m. (make-up game)
