Annual Science Unrestricted Event

The Institute for Defense Analyses hosts its annual Science Unrestricted, an evening of hands-on science, math and technology for all ages.

Explore the magic of magnetism. See catapults in action. Test how many lightbulbs you can power just by riding a bicycle. And, try to build the lightest cargo vessel to safely transport an egg down a vertical drop to win an iPod nano.

Refreshments will be provided and scientific game-show-style raffles will take place every hour.
