Canine Super PAC Releases Ad Against Springfield Cat's Senate Run

Hank the Cat, from Springfield, says ads are baseless.

Hank the Cat's run for U.S. Senate is being dogged by a Super PAC called "Canines for a Feline-Free Tomorrow."

CFFT has released an anti-Hank YouTube ad. Among other things, the ad calls out the cat for not releasing his birth certificate or tax returns. The ad also questions whether Hank has ever been to a veterinarian.

Hank's campaign manager told The Huffington Post that Hank thinks the is baseless and said Hank is not a "fat cat."

Original Story - Springfield Cat Runs for U.S. Senate

Published Feb. 27, 2012

A cat named Hank from Springfield is running for U.S. Senate.

As a non-human, Hank is not eligible for government office, but the cat has a website, campaign signs and a YouTube commercial.

According to his bio, Hank was rescued by Animal Allies, a rescue group based in Fairfax Station.

This is not the first time an animal has run for office. U.S. Senate rules require senators to be human, but some animals have won small-town mayoral elections in the United States. A dog is currently mayor in Rabbit Hash, Ky., and a dog was mayor of Sunol, Calif. in the 1980s.

He would be a good Senator for the 99% movement. He has no clue that the government is the problem because it not constitutionally restrained as it should be. He craps in box, pees on the floor and only eats when someone gives him something for meowing loud enough for someone to hear and lays around and not being productive. I say he would be perfect for the 99%.
