Four members of Boy Scout Troop 129 attended Tuesday's City Council meeting at to knock off requirements for their Citizenship in the Community merit badges.

Scouts Page MacKeigan, Sam Jones, Cully Hardman and Patrick Clark were all welcomed by Mayor Bill Euille upon arriving in council chambers. The four Alexandria middle-schoolers were also given a chance to introduce themselves to the council at the beginning of the meeting.

Euille said the scouts should feel free to call any member of council if they ever had questions about how the city's government functions.

Troop 129, which was founded in March of 1942, meets out of Westminster Presbyterian Church in the North Ridge neighborhood of the city.
