Del Ray Votes for Romney in GOP Primary

Paul gets more than 40 percent support in some precincts.

Del Ray voters chose Mitt Romney in Tuesday’s Republican presidential primary in Virginia, but U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) earned more than 40 percent of the vote at some neighborhood precincts.

Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, claimed 3,457 (67.58 percent) of the votes cast in the city, while and Paul took 1,658 (32.41 percent).

Romney claimed all six precincts in the Del Ray, Arlandria, Rosemont and Beverley Hills area, but Paul claimed more than 40 percent of the vote at three of them.
