The last day to register to vote was Monday, Oct. 17.

Due to statewide redistricting, some voters may be going to a different polling location than in past years, even if the voter has not moved.

WHO’S ON THE BALLOT

Del Ray residents will be selecting a state senator, house delegates, and the Alexandria Circuit Court clerk of the court.

Ebbin, McGhee: State Senate – District 30

and are vying for Patricia Ticer’s seat in the 30th district for state senate. McGhee (website, Facebook), a Republican, works in church administration. Ebbin (website, Facebook), a Democrat, is current a member of the Virginia House of Delegates.

Englin: House of Delegates – District 45

Incumbent Democrat David Englin (website, Facebook, Twitter) is running unopposed.

Clerk of the Court

Edward Semonian (website, Facebook), who has been the Circuit Court’s clerk since 1980, is facing a challenge from Chris Marston (website, Twitter). Semonian was chairman of the Alexandria Sanitation Authority board of directors in addition to his role as clerk of the court. Marston owns a compliance consulting company.
