Construction Work Set to Begin at Simpson Stadium Park

The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities is installing a new entrance stairway at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park, 426 E.  Monroe Ave., according to a news release from the City of Alexandria.

The stairs will connect the sidewalk on E. Monroe Ave. with the recently completed restrooms.

Weather permitting, work will occur between Thursday and May 10. Residents will see equipment in use and crews at work during the daytime. For your safety, please use extra caution when moving around the park site.
