Alleyway Recycling Collection Begins Monday

Collection service for all other Alexandria customers will remain unchanged.

Alexandria residents who receive alley pickup for trash collection will also receive recycling collection in alleyways beginning Monday.

The city’s Department of Transportation and Environmental Services staff believes the change will allow more residents who had space constraints around their home to take advantage of recycling cart collection service.

T&ES reminds residents to no longer place their recycling bins or carts at the curb beginning Monday.
