Police Reports: Sexual Assaults, Thefts in the Del Ray Area

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Del Ray-Rosemont-Arlandria area of Alexandria.

Note: The addresses listed below indicates blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

April 17 — An arrest was made for a theft at 10:35 a.m. in the 3700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

April 15 — A theft was reported at 4:38 p.m. in the 3600 block of Gunston Road.

April 15 — At 2:08 p.m., a victim reported an unknown suspect or suspects stole an antique Chinese pot from victim's back stoop in the 3000 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

April 15 — At 11:50 a.m., a victim reported that both sides of her vehicle had been keyed while it was parked in the 600 block of North View Terrace.

April 15 — An assault was reported at 9:19 a.m. in the 3800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

April 14 — A robbery was reported at 10:23 a.m. in the 1800 block of Russell Road.

April 14 — Breaking-and-entering and sexual assault offenses were reported at 4:29 p.m. in the 3200 block of Landover Street.

April 13 — A traffic stop at the corner of Route 1 and E. Custis Avenue at 4:50 a.m. resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence.

April 12 — A subject was charged with possession of marijuana at 11:10 p.m. in the 2500 block of Ridge Road Drive.

April 12 — At 7:45 p.m., a victim reported that coins and two rings were stolen from her unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of E. Del Ray Avenue.

April 12 — At 5:42 p.m., a theft was reported in the 200 block of E. Windsor Avenue. 

April 12 — A theft from a vehicle was reported at 9 a.m. in the 2400 block of Cameron Mills Road.

April 12 — A victim reported at 8:08 a.m. an unknown suspect or suspects stole her vehicle parked in the driveway at her residence in the 200 block of E. Del Ray Avenue.

April 11 — A sexual offense was reported at 6:40 p.m. in the 200 block of Woodland Terrace. To protect the victim’s privacy, a narrative is not available.

April 11 — A sexual assault was reported at 6:08 p.m. in the 400 block of Hume Avenue. To protect the victim’s privacy, a narrative is not available.

April 10 — An assault occurred between two people who had a prior relationship or were known to each other at 6:13 p.m. in the 3300 block of Valley Drive.

April 9 — A victim reported at 10:33 a.m. that cash was stolen from two unlocked vehicles parked in the 800 block of Ramsey Street.

April 9 — A theft from a vehicle was reported at 2:03 a.m. in the 1200 block of Russell Road.

April 8 — At 4:08 p.m., a victim reported that unknown suspects ripped off the top of a convertible parked in the back of a restaurant in the 3500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

April 8 — A breaking-and-entering offense was reported at 8:31 a.m. on E. Reed Avenue.

April 7 — A motor scooter was reported stolen at 8:41 p.m. in the 2900 block of Landover Street.

April 7 — Four vehicles parked on the street in the 200 block of Burgess Avenue were entered and coins were stolen from three of them. 

April 7 — A graffiti offense was reported at 3:03 p.m. in the 400 block of E. Monroe Avenue.

April 6 — A suspect was charged with possession of marijuana at 7:57 p.m. in the 3800 block of Russell Road.

April 5 — At 8:34 p.m., a victim reported her home was entered by an unknown suspect or suspects through a backdoor window at her residence in the 400 block of E. Glendale Avenue and a laptop, money and jewelry were stolen.

April 5 — Two unattended Adirondack lounge chairs made of cedar were reported stolen at 2:25 p.m. in the 500 block of E. Luray Avenue.

April 5 — A traffic stop at 1:12 a.m. in the 600 block of Ramsey Street resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence.
