Police Reports: Robberies on Russell and Rosemont, Stolen Washer and Dryer and a Sexual Offense

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the City of Alexandria.

 Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not tonecessarily indicate a conviction.

Aug. 28 – Robbers entered a residence on Russell Road by unknown means and stole jewelry and a bicycle.

Aug. 28 – A possible thief was checking out mopeds parked in the 3900 block of Bruce Street when police were notified by tenants. The police arrived and arrested the subject for attempting to steal one of the mopeds.

Aug. 28 – A sexual offense was reported in the 2500 block of Commonwealth Avenue. No other details were available.

Aug. 26 – A theft was reported on West Del Ray Avenue.

Aug. 26 – An assault was reported in the 3600 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

Aug. 24 – Thieves attempted to steal a vehicle by punching the ignition in the 300 block of East Monroe Avenue.

Aug. 24 – Robbers stole watches, bracelets, cash and headphones by entering a residence through a kitchen window on East Rosemont Avenue.

Aug. 24 – A theft was reported in the 2300 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

Aug. 22 – A washer, dryer, stove and other appliances were stolen from a back yard in the 400 block of East Bellefonte when the resident was remodeling his house.
