Police Reports: Man Accidentally Shoots Self in Hand, Thefts in the Del Ray Area

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Aug. 10

7:44 p.m. — An arrest was made for a liquor law violation in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.

2:29 a.m. — An assault was reported in the 200 block of Luna Park Drive.

Aug. 9

10:52 p.m. — An arrest was made for drunk and disorderly conduct in the 3900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

8:39 p.m. — An arrest was made for drunk and disorderly conduct in the 3800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

Aug. 8

11:22 p.m. — An arrest was made for a narcotics offense in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.

10:08 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 2500 block of King Street.

7:08 p.m. — A child reportedly urinated on the back and neck of another child in the 3800 block of Russell Road.

1:39 p.m. — A victim reported the wallet from her purse was stolen after she left it unattended in the employee coatroom while she was working at a business in the 3700 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

Aug. 7

9:52 p.m. — A suspect was arrested for possession of an open container of alcohol in the 3500 block of Wilson Avenue.

4:41 p.m. — A female victim reported being assaulted by a neighbor who pushed her to the ground in the 200 block of Lynhaven Drive.

Aug. 6

12:50 p.m. — A front license plate was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of E. Nelson Avenue. 

10:31 a.m. — A raincoat and iPhone charger were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Luray Avenue.

7:57 a.m. — A laptop and five textbooks were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of King Street. A rear window on the vehicle was discovered broken.

12:06 a.m. — A subject accidently shot himself in the finger while attempting to clean his gun in the 3800 block of Milan Drive.

Aug. 5

8:45 a.m. — Five audiobooks, the vehicle registration and manual were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of Valley Drive. 

Aug. 4

9:27 p.m. — A suspect was charged with illegal possession of alcohol in the 3000 block of Fulton Street.

9:12 p.m. — The back window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of E. Windsor Avenue was smashed.

12:21 p.m. — A suspect was arrested after punching a convenience store clerk in the 3900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

3 a.m. — A traffic stop resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence in the 2500 block of King Street.

Aug. 3

11:49 p.m. — All four rims and tires were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in a garage in the 600 block of Maskell Street.

9:03 p.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from the basement of an apartment complex in the 300 block of Adams Ave.

9:25 a.m. — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 3800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

3:48 a.m. — A traffic stop at the corner of Braddock and Russell roads resulted in an arrest for driving under the influence.

1:15 a.m. — An arrest was made for assault in the 400 block of Four Mile Road.
