Police Reports: Break-ins, Construction Site Theft

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Del Ray-Rosemont-Arlandria area of Alexandria.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Sept. 21

1:48 p.m. — A vehicle theft was reported in the 3700 block of Mark Drive.

Sept. 20

8:31 p.m. — A theft was reported on E. Rosemont Avenue.

5:29 p.m. — An arrest was made for a liquor law violation in the 2100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

3:40 p.m. — A tampering with an automobile incident was reported in the 100 block of E. Walnut Street.

9:56 a.m. — A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 400 block of E. Monroe Avenue.

9:19 a.m. — A property crime was reported in the 200 block of E. Custis Avenue.

Sept. 19

11:05 p.m. — An arrest was made for a liquor law violation in the 400 block of E. Monroe Avenue. 

5:42 p.m. — A theft was reported on W. Cedar Street.

Sept. 18

12:03 a.m. — A subject was stopped for riding a bicycle at night without lights in the 3500 block of Mount Vernon Avenue and was subsequently arrested for providing false information to a police officer.

11:53 p.m. — A suspect was arrested at the corner of Commonwealth and W. Howell avenues and charged with a sexual offense. A narrative of this incident was not made available by police.

1:50 p.m. —A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 200 block of W. Glebe Road.

Sept. 17

9:25 p.m. — A victim reported missing cash from a drawer in the bedroom of her home in the 3800 block of Elbert Avenue after newly hired maids were cleaning the residence.

Sept. 16

3:49 p.m. — A subject was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in the 4100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

Sept. 14

9:55 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 500 block of Four Mile Road.

2:18 p.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from the storage area of an apartment complex in the 300 block of E. Duncan Avenue. The padlock to the storage area had been cut.

9:25 a.m. — Various tools and copper wire were reported stolen from a construction storage unit at the corner of Main Line Boulevard and Monroe Avenue.

6:41 a.m. — A subject was arrested in the 3800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue for cutting the tires on a vehicle belonging to a restaurant manager after the subject was refused service.

Sept. 13

12:10 p.m. — A suspect was arrested in the 400 block of Russell Road and charged with possession of heroin.

Sept. 12

7:22 p.m. — A theft was reported in the 2700 block of Mosby Street.

4:10 p.m. — An iPad, Kindle and jewelry were stolen in a breaking-and-entering incident in the 2700 block of Sycamore Street. The home was entered through a basement window and the residence was ransacked.

Sept. 11

11:57 a.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from the storage area of an apartment complex in the 300 block of E. Duncan Avenue. The lock to the storage area had been cut.
