Police Reports: Breaking-and-Entering Incidents in the Del Ray Area

The Alexandria Police Department reported the following crimes in the Del Ray-Rosemont-Arlandria area of Alexandria.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents. Where an arrest is mentioned, it does not necessarily indicate a conviction.

Oct. 17

9:57 p.m. — An arrest was made following a traffic incident in the 2100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

11 a.m. — A theft was reported in the 3400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

11:18 p.m. — An arrest was made for shoplifting and a weapons offense in the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

10:19 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 300 block of Clifford Avenue.

10:15 p.m. — An assault was reported in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue.

2:09 p.m. — An identity theft incident was reported in the 400 block of E. Howell Avenue.

Oct. 15

4:13 p.m. — A car radiator and cargo bin were reported stolen from the backyard of a residence on E. Rosemont Avenue.

9:31 a.m. — A bicycle was reported stolen from the 3000 block of Manning Street.

Oct. 14

8:13 p.m. — A car window was reported smashed in the 3800 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.

5:56 p.m. — Laptops, electronics and jewelry were reported stolen in a breaking-and-entering incident on E. Mason Avenue. A basement window to the residence was broken to gain entry.

8:30 a.m. — A breaking-and-entering incident was reported in the 500 block of E. Duncan Avenue.

3:08 a.m. — A male victim was assaulted and stabbed by an unknown suspect during an attempt to rob him of his wallet near the corner of Elbert Avenue and Four Mile Road.

Oct. 11

9:55 p.m. — A subject was arrested in the 100 block of E. Nelson Avenue for brandishing a firearm and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

7 p.m. — A victim reported that their residence was entered through an unlocked kitchen window and a bicycle and jewelry were stolen.
