Officers remained with the victim around noon Thursday.

No other information was immediately available. An investigation is ongoing.

On Monday, Del Ray resident Marquita Thompson and her fiancé, Miguel Crouch, were robbed at gunpoint near the intersections E. Howell and Leslie avenues.

Bergin said it was too early to tell if the two incidents are related. There is no known connection between the two cases outside of the similarity of events and their geographic proximity.
