Police: Man Shot in the Leg During Walk Home from Pentagon City Metro

Arlington County police are looking for two men.

A man was shot once in the leg at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday as he was walking home from the Pentagon City metro stop, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Police are looking for help in finding two men believed to have been involved. One man was about 6 feet tall, had a thin build, and shoulder-length dreadlocks, police report.

The second man was shorter then the first, according to police. No other description was supplied.

Authorities report that the victim was walking home from the metro along South 23rd Street to Arlington Ridge Road toward Alexandria when he was approached near South 24th Street by the two men.   

Information about the shooting was sent out in an email to area residents by Captain Andy Penn of the Arlington County Police Department.
