Alexandria police and fire personnel responded to an incident Tuesday morning involving at least two vehicles at the corner of E. Windsor and Mount Vernon avenues.
One male was placed on a stretcher and taken from the scene in an ambulance. He was seen sitting on the curb for a short time being examined by EMS technicians.
The incident, which appeared to involve a Honda sedan and an Audi vehicle, occurred around 9 a.m. Traffic was briefly diverted off Mount Vernon Avenue between E. Custis and E. Howell avenues.
