Police Arrest Suspect in Connection to Rosemont Burglaries

Alexandria resident Vincent Edward Evans facing numerous charges.

Alexandria Police arrested city resident Vincent Edward Evans, 20, in connection with a series of burglaries and larcenies from vehicles that occurred in and around Rosemont over the past several months.

Detectives executed a search warrant on Evans’ residence on Monday and recovered evidence.  

Evans was taken into custody and charged with two burglaries—one in the 300 block of W. Masonic View Avenue and another in the 100 block of E. Linden Street.

Evans has been charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of grand larceny, two counts of grand larceny with intent to sell, two counts of conspiring to commit burglary and two counts of conspiring to commit grand larceny.

The suspect was also charged with one count of petit larceny and one of count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Evans is being held without bond at the Alexandria Adult Detention Center.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be coming.
