No Charges in Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Driver struck Suzanne Kominski, 92, while pulling out of driveway on Nov. 10, according to Alexandria police.

No charges will be filed in a Nov. 10 fatal pedestrian crash on Key Drive, the Alexandria Police Department’s crash reconstruction team has determined.

A driver pulling out of a driveway in the 1200 block of Key Drive struck 92-year-old Suzanne Kominski as she was walking with her husband in the afternoon, according to police.

Kominski, a city resident, was transported by ground to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was pronounced dead at the hospital at approximately 7:40 p.m.

Police say the driver remained on the scene. 

Police announced the results of their investigation on Dec. 6.

Key Drive is located off Quaker Lane just south of T.C. Williams High School and Chinquapin Park.
