Arrest Made in String of Car Dealership Burglaries

Sean Lee Fleming was arrested on Oct. 24 in Atlantic City, N.J., with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police.

Alexandria Police Department detectives have charged a man in a series of car dealership burglaries following a multi-jurisdictional investigation.

Sean Lee Fleming, 39, was arrested on Oct. 24 in Atlantic City, N.J., with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police.

Fleming, who is of no fixed address, is being charged with burglary and attempted grand larceny in the June 28 burglary of Landmark Honda. He is awaiting extradition to Virginia regarding these charges.

According to the Alexandria Police, Fleming is believed to be connected to a series of regional car dealership burglaries that occurred from February to October across the Washington region, including several at Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota.

He may be responsible for more than 40 burglaries involving the theft of thousands of dollars.
