Alexandria Police Assist with Found Body Case in Prince George's County

"Nothing to connect" to Lenny Harris case at this time, police spokeswoman says

Police, including officers from Alexandria, are investigating a report of a body found in a well this afternoon in Prince George’s County, Md.

The discovery has fueled speculation that police could have found the body of missing Alexandria community activist Lenny Harris. Alexandria police spokeswoman Ashley Hildebrandt said Alexandria officers are simply assisting in the case at the moment.

"We have nothing to connect it to the Lenny Harris case at this time," she said Thursday evening.

Harris was last seen at an Alexandria recreation center the evening of Sept. 21. His 1994 Toyota Corolla was later found unoccupied in Prince George’s County.

Also, a man  on King Street shortly after 1 a.m. on Sept. 22, the same morning as an attempt to use the card in Prince George’s County.
