According to the Alexandria Police Department crime reports database: “Some cases have multiple offenses that are displayed under the same case number. This is because the Alexandria Police Department reports crime data using the FBI's National Incident Based Reporting System (NIBRS). Under this system, multiple offenses are reported per incident if necessary. For example, if a person is assaulted and robbed, both the robbery and assault are captured as separate offenses within the same incident (and will carry the same case number).”
