AFD Crews Respond to Linden Street Blaze

No injuries reported in Rosemont house fire.

Alexandria fire crews responded to a fire that started in the second story of a home in the 100 block of Linden Street in Rosemont around 5 p.m. Saturday.

No injuries were reported, according to Alexandria Fire Department Chief Adam Thiel.

Thiel said the cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Firefighters were seen being delivered Gatorade after battling the blaze on an afternoon when temperatures climbed into the low 90s.     

Fire marshals had yet to begin assessing the damage to the single-family detached home as of 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Thiel said. Smoke damage was seen on the exterior of the building.
