Please Don't Staple Signs to Trees

Now that spring is on its way, I am starting to see yard sale signs again and unfortunately some are being stapled to trees.  At a minimum, yard sale signs on a tree are unsightly.  However I think it is also bad for the tree to put holes in its trunk.  Please refrain from stapling signs to trees.There are other ways to advertise a yard sale (e.g., craigslist, posting your information here on patch, etc.).
