MVCS School Year Starts August 1
This Thursday, August 1, students at Mount Vernon Community School return for the 2013-2014 school year. We're excited to start a new year and also thankful for the many local businesses that have helped us welcome our new and returning teachers back to school.
We're also looking forward to being the featured non-profit at this week's First Thursday on the Avenue, sponsored by the Del Ray Business Association. Please stop by our booth and tent at the Farmers Market!
At the booth you can:
- Purchase MVCS t-shirts
- Sign up to join/renew your PTA membership
- Drop off "Boxtops for Education"
- Register your Giant, Target, Safeway and Harris Teeter cards so MVCS can earn money with each purchase
- Get the latest on the MV Big Flea and other PTA programs and activities
- Learn how to become a community partner
We’ll also be collecting donations of art supplies and new or gently worn clothing.
