  • Why Go: This book club for children ages 8-12 will discuss “The Borrowers” by Mary Norton. Registration is required.

EcoSavvy Gardening Symposium

  • Where: Green Spring Gardens, Annandale
  • When: Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: The focus of this year’s symposium is “Birds, Bats, Bees and Bugs." Master gardeners will discuss ways to improve and enrich our environment through gardening. Registration is required.
  • Price: $50 for Fairfax County residents; $65 for non-residents

Fifth Annual Monopoly Tournament

  • Where: Workhouse Arts Center, Lorton
  • When: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (must be seated by 9:45 a.m. to play)
  • Why Go: Proceeds from this event will benefit Habitat for Humanity. A light breakfast and catered lunch are included in the entry fee. Cash and door prizes will be awarded. 
  • Price: $25 per player

Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra

  •  Where: GMU Center for the Arts, Fairfax
  • When: Saturday at 8 p.m.
  • Why Go: Featuring selections by renowned jazz artists Buddy Rich, Woody Herman and Stan Kenton. Arrive 45 minutes early for a pre-performance discussion.

Disney Live – Phineas and Ferb
