SOHO fundraiser

You're inivted to an evening of fun and festivities to support SOHO. Join us at Los Toltecos to enjoy happy hour specials, learn more about the program and bid on one of our many exciting silent auction gifts benefiting the program. The auction will feature items from our local community including restaurant gift cards, wine baskets, baby boot camp classes, movie tickets and more! Happy hour specials include: domestic beer $2/pint, house margaritas $4 and house liquor $3.

ABOUT SOHO
SOHO is an art-based mentoring program serving 6th grade girls from Hammond Middle School in Alexandria City Public Schools. The program runs a full year, starting in the fall, and pairs each participating girl with an adult, female mentor. They meet weekly to share a healthy meal, learn about necessary life skills, participate in meaningful community service activities, and work on art projects that eventually are used to decorate their rooms. The program is loosely based on the popular television show "Trading Spaces" because upon completion of the program, girls and mentors work in teams to remodel other girls' bedrooms, providing each girl with "a space of her own."
