Alexandria's Beauregard Corridor Community Open House

Citizens can learn about plans for Alexandria’s Beauregard Corridor at a free Community Open House, to be held at the Shops at Mark Center on Saturday, February 11, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Representatives from the property owners for the redevelopment sites and their consultants will be on hand to answer questions about the Beauregard Corridor Plan.

The Beauregard Corridor Plan envisions a vibrant mixed-use community that respects existing adjacent neighborhoods and the area’s natural beauty while providing much-needed new amenities including parks, a new fire station, transportation improvements, athletic fields, a brand-new modern grocery store, restaurants, shops, and services. At the open house on February 11, neighborhood residents will have an opportunity to learn more about the vision, design, and timeline for the Beauregard Corridor Plan.

The Shops at Mark Center are located at 1452-1480 North Beauregard Street in Alexandria, VA, just off I-395. The open house will be held under a white tent in the parking lot. Ample parking will be available.

The open house is hosted by the Beauregard Corridor Developer Stakeholders, a group of property owners with redevelopment sites within the Beauregard Corridor.  These property owners include The JBG Companies, Home Properties, Hekemian & Co., Duke Realty, and Southern Towers. The stakeholders have been working collaboratively with the City of Alexandria and the community on the Beauregard Corridor Small Area Plan over the last two and a half years.
