Simran Singh, Author-Conversations With The Universe & Publisher -11:11 Magazine

Simran Singh grew up in Bamberg, SC.  Her family was the only Indian family in this sleepy, southern town.  She didn't fit in.  She wasn't white nor African American.  She was Indian and the only Indian girl in her class.  Simran's younger years were lived in isolation.  Then as a young woman, a husband was chosen for her and an arranged marriage was planned. After 18 years of marriage,  it fell apart and so did Simran.  Through the pain and sorrow of a life lived for others came 11:11 Magazine followed by a radio show and then a book.  Through her life's work she rebuilt herself.  And now, she wants to be the example of trust and love with no excuses not to live the life we all aspire to.  She is rebelling against the life she lived and is visiting Alexandria as part of the Rebel Road Tour.  www.TheRebelRoad.com.
You can also check out her Ted Talk in Charleston this summer by clicking on the link below.

All are welcome for this inspirational event.  A fee of $35 will help support the tour travel around the US and Canada.  Simran, her two children, 2 friends and tutor will begin in Virginia. You will be able to follow her over the year as she documents and posts on You Tube from her no excuses tour.
