Mark your
calendars for Saturday, May 10th and the 2014 Del Ray House &
Garden Tour. A biennial project of the Del Ray
Citizens Association, the tour serves as a fundraiser for neighborhood projects
and the Alexandria Scholarship Fund.

The 10
homes on the 2014 tour range from a 1940’s row house to an amazing “green”
renovation to one of the few Del Ray homes with an in ground swimming pool. From flights of artistic fancy to small
spaces lived large, the tour has a little something for everyone.
New
features this year include a work-in-progress, two featured gardens and a
hospitality venue at historic Del Ray United Methodist Church.
The tour is
wonderful reflection of Del Ray’s diversity as well as a opportunity to see the
work of local architects and builders and to get great ideas on paint colors,
tiles, decorative hardware, bath and kitchen fixtures, and much, much more.
Tickets are
$20 in advance until April 30 and may be purchased online at www.delraycitizens.org , at the Del Ray Variety
Store, 203 E Custis, or at the Del Ray Farmers Market starting April 26. Day-of tickets are $25.
The
self-guided tour runs from 11:00am to 5:00pm, rain or shine.
