2013 Alexandria Beautification Commission Award Ceremony

The Alexandria
Beautification Commission Annual Awards Ceremony will be taking place on September 30th,
7:30 PM at The Little Theater, 600 Wolfe St. Mayor William D. Euille is expected to be in attendance to
present the awards. The event is open to the public. Please join us!

The Alexandria Beautification Commission recognizes and awards City
residents, organizations, and businesses for their efforts in
contributing to the beautification of City neighborhoods and public
vistas with landscaping, aesthetic site design, and building design.
Beautification Awards are presented in four categories: Residential,
Commercial, Public and Service. Nominations are judged on the use of
texture, color, plant material, neighborhood context, marked
improvements and overall appearance. The event is also a way to say
"thank you" to citizens who take pride in their community. This year we
also partnered with the Solid Waste Division of the Department of
Transportation and Environmental Services to award a local business for
their recycling program.
