The first weekend in February is sure to be interesting… if you care about weather or football.

  • Where: George Washington Masonic Memorial, 101 Callahan Dr., Alexandria
  • When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday
  • Why go: Shop for fashions at up to 80 percent off retail prices from local stores. Hard core shoppers line-up early for this annual event.
  • Price: Free admission. Parking is $4 all day at the Colonial Parking garage on Diagonal Road.

The Fabulous Hubcaps

  • Where: The Carlyle Club, 411 John Carlyle Street
  • When: 8 p.m. Friday
  • Why go: “Rock ‘n Roll is alive and well,” according to this oldies show band formerly known as “Harvey Hubcap and the Do Ron Ron.”
  • Price: $25. Buy tickets here.

'Reservoir Dogs' at the Dome Theatre

  • Where: The Artisphere, 1101 Wilson Blvd., Arlington
  • When: 8 p.m. Friday
  • Why go: Artipshere presents a one-night-only screening of Quentin Tarantino's classic "Reservoir Dogs" — a look back thanks to the recent release of the director's "Django Unchained."
  • Price: $8

ZOSO: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin

  • Where: State Theatre, 220 N. Washington St., Falls Church 
  • When: Doors open at 7 p.m. Saturday, show starts at 9 p.m. 
  • Why go: ZOSO is a Led Zeppelin tribute band that's been touring for years and puts on a great show. You'll feel like it's the '70s again — or maybe your retro phase in the '90s — hear all the classics, and leave ready to pack your bag for the Misty Mountains.
  • Price: $17

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training Info Session

  • Where: Crystal Gateway Marriot, 1700 Jefferson Davis Hwy.
  • When: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday
  • Why go: If one of your new year’s resolutions was to run a half-marathon or marathon, or complete a century ride or triathalon, you can train with this group while raising money for cancer research. Learn how at this meeting.

GROUNDHOG DAY

Potomac Phil’s Prediction

  • Where: Dupont Circle, Washington, D.C.
  • When: 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday
  • Why go: Potomac Phil is the D.C. taxidermy cousin to Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania. Potomac Phil will make his weather and political predictions.
  • Price: Free.

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

Super Bowl XLVII

  • Where: At home, at a friend’s place or at one of Alexandria’s sports bars—your choice!
  • When: The game starts around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
