The McDonald’s located at 121 W. Glebe Rd. held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday to celebrate the completion of a massive renovation project that was part of a company-wide effort to accommodate consumers’ changing needs and expectations.
The rebuilding plan for McDonald’s franchisees Carlos Mateos and daughter Jillian included contemporizing interiors and exteriors by upgrading infrastructure and enhancing restaurant capacity.
Architecturally, the improvements include a new entry into the restaurant and new seating areas. The interior utilizes a new color palette, plasma screen TVs and free Wi-Fi access.
Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday.
The McDonald's on Henry Street in Old Town recently was renovated too.
