Gen. Colin Powell, the nation’s top military adviser in the 1990s and U.S. Secretary of State from 2001 to 2005 under President George W. Bush, will be at the Barnes and Noble at Potomac Yard on Sept. 29 to sign his book “It Worked For Me: In Life and Leadership.”
The memoir, co-written with Tony Koltz, is a collection of stories and lessons from Powell’s life and career and includes his reflections on the lead-up to the war in Iraq in 2003, according to NPR.
Powell will be at the bookstore from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 29.
