Del Ray Antique Dealers Say Goodbye on Saturday

Businesses will merge and reopen at a new location south of Alexandria in August.

Potomac West Interiors and Antiques and Not Too Shabby Consignments will say farewell to Del Ray on Saturday, July 20 with a goodbye party and moving sale.

The antique dealers are exiting their current digs to make way for plans to build a Walgreens in the entire retail strip at 1509-1517 Mount Vernon Ave. Norge Laundry and Dry Cleaning, J&M Electronics and Universal Market are also being displaced because of the sale of the shopping center.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, dealer and consignment inventory will be marked down and light refreshments will be severed at the antique shops as staff and loyal customers look back on 14 years in Del Ray.
