Food and Wine honored Cheesetique on Monday, naming its Mac ’n Cheesetique one of best macaroni and cheese dishes in the country.
The mixture of three cheeses and elbow macaroni is finished with breadcrumbs and a touch of truffle oil. The dish is available at Cheesetique in Del Ray and Shirlington.
Owner Jill Erber tells Food and Wine the dish is “savory and slightly sweet.”
The Mac ’n Cheesetique was one of 17 dishes selected by food and wine and the lone selection from the Washington, DC region.
